About the Oakland County Quilt Guild

History of the Oakland County Quilt Guild
The Oakland County Quilt Guild began in the fall of 1989 with 75 charter members. The founding President, Janet Johnson, was assisted by Joyce Crabtree, Marcia Hamilton, and Cathy McIntee in establishing early policies and procedures for the Guild. The Guild now has a capped membership at 150 quiltmakers.

The Oakland County Quilt Guild has a wonderful reputation in the area for its service, charity and education to the community, its willingness to share, its spirit, and the many friendships it has fostered. The members of Oakland County Quilt Guild, past and present, continue to promote the art of quiltmaking at local, state, and national levels.
