September 2009 Meeting - Ugly Fabric Challenge

The program activity for the September meeting will be an Ugly Fabric Challenge.

How it works:
* Bring 1/2 yard or more of an "ugly" fabric that is of "quilt shop" quality, please.

* Be prepared to state 4 Things: (1) your name, (2) approx how long you have been in the guild, (3)favorite kinds of quilts or quilting technique, and (4) and where you obtained the fabric (if known).

* We will have a fun swapping activity. The more the merrier!

* Optional: Make a block (or an entire quilt top) using a recognizable amount of the ugly fabric and bring it to the December meeting for a Viewers Choice judging. (That's three whole months to make just one block!)

* A bundle of fat quarters will be awarded for the block with the most votes.

As you can imagine, ugliness is a matter of opinion! You may swap and end up with a fabric that you love! Who knows!
